Happy New Year!

2013 now future prospect manifest
Pathways open in finite directions
We can but hope our choice be blessed
And that health & happiness be our companions.

2013 is going to be a year. We will need all the encouragement we can muster. Some thoughts below.

Keep Right on to the End of the Road.
This song was written by Sir Harry Lauder shortly after his only son, John, was killed in action in World War I.

Ev'ry road thro' life is a long, long, road,
Fill'd with joys and sorrows too,
As you journey on how your heart will yearn
For the things most dear to you.
With wealth and love 'tis so,
But onward we must go.

Keep right on to the end of the road,
Keep right on to the end,
Tho' the way be long, let your heart be strong,
Keep right on round the bend.
Tho' you're tired and weary still journey on,
Till you come to your happy abode,
Where all the love you've been dreaming of
Will be there at the end of the road.

With a big stout heart to a long steep hill,
We may get there with a smile,
With a good kind thought and an end in view,
We may cut short many a mile.
So let courage ev'ry day
Be your guiding star alway.

Seasons Greetings!

For my own part, I have never had a thought
Which I could not set down in a graphic
With even more distinctness than which I conceived it.
There is however a class of fancies of exquisite delicacy
Which are not thoughts and to which as yet
I have found it absolutely impossible to adapt to pictures.

These fancies arise in the soul,
Alas how rarely, only at epochs
Of most intense tranquillity
When the body and mind are in perfect rhythm
And at those curious points of time
When the confines of the waking world
Blend with the world of dreams.

And so I captured this fancy
Where all that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

No Ardbeg was harmed in the making of this fancy.

Andy wishes all a very merry Christmas, and a healthy, happy, and prosperous
2013.
