This is Alex Salmond, the First Minister of the Scottish Parliament. I glanced at this picture today advertising the upcoming NY Tartan Week, and noticed his thumb. Could he have been got at?
I thought Alex was a plant, but I was wrong. As the picture below shows, he could be an insect!

He can't be an insect, Sans. Insects don't have thumbs.
On another note, my warmest congratulations to the Scottish publicans for banning the Chancellor of Revenue (?-may have gotten the title wrong) from the pubs after he increased taxes on whiskey, beer and wine. That will teach the right bastard.

On the positive side, if he is an insect, there are lots of Earth polluting pestisides to erradicate him with. And even if those don't work, insects don't live that long...

I like the insect photo - he looks very introspective. Or asleep.
VE, I have nothing against Alex, I actually quite like him, even if he is an insect. I don't know if the photographer tried for the shot or if it was just a fluke. :¬)
