CRM Cover.

This is my version of a design for a bedroom wash-stand that CRM designed in 1903 for the Dresdener Werkstatten fur Handwerkskunst (Dresden Workshops for Arts and Crafts.)

I have taken rather a large piece of interpretation with my version, since most of the drawing is obscured by the jug & basin. The original drawing can be seen here. I don't know if this design was ever realised/realized.

Great design. He wasn't really going for a purple sink, was he?

Zed, perhaps I have over-done the purple. Maybe I needed the colour/color to cast the white sea outside, from my mind. These wash stands had a basin & jug arrangement. The porcelain basin in the original drawing had a standard blue & white pattern common, I believe, for the turn of the century. I liked the colours/colors used by CRM, and incorporated those into the design behind the basin in a suggested outline of the basin shape.
I hope CRM isn't too upset by my endeavours/ endeavors.
