Easter Sunday was April 21st 1946.
HMS TOTLAND remained at Sunderland until arrangements were made for her return to the US Coastguard Service. Manned by a steaming crew she sailed for Boston, Mass, on 26th March 1946 and was handed back on 2nd May that year. She was renamed USS MOCOMA and remained in use as a Coastguard Patrol Vessel until 15th July 1955 when sold for breaking-up.
