San, I opened my teenage daughter's computer once and pulled a SOCK out of it! Seriously. Sounds strange, but if you saw the piles of stuff I had to move to get to the machine it would make more sense. You can imagine the dirt, I'm sure.
I did PC support for a few years for a major corporation. I was complaining to our telecom guy and he said exactly what you said - "Get used to it, Bubbles. Do you think they ever call me and thank me for their working telephone?" It stuck with me on the tough days.
Bubbles, Bwahahahha! It must have been the Winsock software. I'm guilty of it too. I must try to have more grace, and show thanks to those who provide for me.

Thank you for having seven random things to match your many DVD players. It makes sense.
ChrisSD, I also cleaned out about a cup-full of rolling tobacco from the inside of a laptop once.
Dale, I forgot one. I have eight.
An extra RT is called for. I have relatives in Canada.
They might be related but they're not you!

Dale, is this a good thing or not?
