Nobody™, It has been used to repair the PSU of my aging VCR. I cannot find any reference to an LM743 device. Only LM741, 746,747,748. I'm sure I have some 741 op-amps in metal can somewhere. 32V is an odd value. Try two 16V in series, that should work.
You are probably right that it's a LM741. Now I have an excuse to go the electronics parts store on Monday. But I doubt that they have that or the 32V zener. I'll probably end up ordering them.

Was it on sale?
BPR, a transistor is an electronic switch. You are probably using 100 million of them right now. YES, cake would be yummy! Thank You.
Anon.Blogger, Unfortunately not. In fact I paid over the going rate for this device. $1.20 in real money.
Hmmm... it looks exciting-ish...
How exciting for you!
Dutchbitch & Smythe, Yes, you are both right. I am a failure as a human being.
BUT, I do have a shiny new blue transistor! Wooo-Hoo!!
Doing the shiny transistor dance...
Congratulations Sans!!! I love it!!
Can you roast marshmallows and hot dogs with it?
Isn't that what Superfly used on his 'fro back in 1972?
PS--Thanks for montage de mythological beings. Very funny.
So what are you going to use the transistor for? Where can I get an LM743 in a can type package? I need one. And a 32V zener diode.
Dick, Thank You!
Lynda, The answer surprisingly is Yes!
Wendi, I am not worthy...
